Different from my home country, Fathers’ Day is celebrated in June in the US.

This year with the pandemic situation, it was a little hard to celebrate. We usually went out to have lunch or dinner. But now that we are sheltered at home, we decided to create something special and cozy for this date.

With my twins’ help – and this is the best part of the process – we put together a special Fathers’ Day breakfast. Looking online, I found this amazing free printable package from tinyme:

All you need is:

-        Printer

-        Paper (I used cardstock paper)

-        Kids scissors

-        Twine

-        Glue

-        Pencil or crayon

-        Balloons (optional) .

My twins cut all the pieces and wrote cards for dad. We also chose nice pictures to print and put together with the cards. I do not have a cart, so I use this small table to accommodate food and decoration.

The important part of this process is:

-        Plan things at least one day ahead: kids take time to cut the shapes and sometimes, you will need more than one printable of a certain part;

-        Choose pictures that bring your family good memories such as trips and specials dates. Now that we are stuck at home, it is more important than ever to remember our good moments;

-        If you have time; you can prepare dad’s favorite dessert with your kids. In my case, we had just moved from another city so it was a miracle that I could find scissors and the material to put this togetherJ;

-        There is no need to be perfect: the most important part is to have fun together!

Hope you enjoy it and Happy Fathers’ Day.
