The doors for imagination are open!
After a busy year, I did not have a lot of time to plan my kid’s birthday party – and I am not proud of that even an inch.
To make things easier, we decided to go with a commercial theme: “Monster I.N.C.”. The idea came up when we went to Dallas Children’s Museum – they had an amazing room with PIXAR themes, to show how they create and produce movies.
Our big guy, Sullivan, was represented by chocolate truffles, while the little one, Mike Wazowski, was Oreo cake pop.
Boo and her costume were an amazing chocolate truffle with Nutella.
As giveaways, we had little Sullivan and Mike stuffed toys. Kids’ doors were sugar cookies on sticks. We also had a 3-D cookie for Boo’s door. Laugh and scream pills were chocolate M&Ms. Scream Containers on kids’ tables were Pringles.
To personalize this event, the artist Maria Palito from Party Mazing, designed a backdrop with my kids’ names and also other items such as placemats, food tags and water labels.
My daughter helped me to decorate the cake and also our brigadeiros.
As usual, I prepared a kids’ table. I found many items online, but my daughter gave her touch with an amazing draw of Sullivan and Mike that I am keeping in my office now.
That was fast and we worked pretty hard, but it was so nice to see that they were having fun. Time flies but no matter how old you are… “Mommy loves you to the Moon and Back!”
